Brief

Together with the Eastern District, Lee Gardens Association wanted a game-changing street festival concept this summer, and we delivered the Urban Jam Festival, held in May 2024. The “Culture Jam Festival” came with a creative event concept, programme line up and event execution. This all helped drive traffic and awareness for the five-day festival. At the same time, it was imperative we ensure public safety during the event.

Our Strategy

Blocking off 3 roads in Causeway Bay, OAC created key ideas from event name, to storytelling, and customer journey. We managed a line up with stage performances, food trucks, local produce, craft beer, vintage motorcycles, Shanghai barbershop, bespoke suit tailor, whisky pop-up and tattoo space. We worked with government officials for road cordons, licensing and security.

Impact

The result was a once in a lifetime experience, with foot traffic offering more than 161,000 impressions, demonstrating that Lee Gardens Association is at the edge of urban trends in Hong Kong. Another outstanding outcome from this event was the benefit to local communities - residents could experience the best of Hong Kong crafts while artisans from across Hong Kong had the opportunity to show their goods and talents.
